KIWI’s founder and CEO, Abhinav Ahluwalia, a rural management graduate from the KIIT School of Rural Management, Bhubaneswar, was serving the Gujarat government as an agriculture consultant for tribal development when he first began to ruminate on a foray into agribusiness.
He also worked with some 30 odd development organisations including Azim Premji Foundation Access development services, Jaipur Rugs Foundations, and many others. He wrote a coffee table book called View of India, which was published by Times of India in 2015. He was the first in Uttarakhand to start a community Rural Library in the village of Uttarakhand which was started in 2013. He is currently working as the CO-Founder of Evolve Foundation. Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) from IIT Delhi (1976). He attended a course on "Ecological Economics" at the Schumacher College, Devon, UK. Set up a medium-sized industrial unit - a Solvent Extraction Plant to extract oil from minor seeds in 1978 and managed it successfully in the capacity of Managing Director till 1987. Founded Society for Integrated Development of Himalayas (SIDH), a voluntary organization to work primarily in the field of education in the hill areas of Uttarakhand, in 1989.

Oorja Farms, started by food enthusiast couple - Priya and Amit.
