The Origin Of

Green Life

Began in 2009

When Vivek Binepal, a visionary creative marketing consultant, dreamt up the Green Life Exhibition, a unique showcase dedicated to elevating organic farmers and their products in the vibrant city of Bangalore. Fast forward five years, and Vivek, now a photographer and nature enthusiast, felt compelled to embrace a new chapter in the serene embrace of the mountains. This transformative journey not only reshaped his own life but also illuminated countless others' paths. With a wealth of experience in marketing and communications, Vivek, an Army brat,  had always sensed a profound connection to the natural world. By 2014, he took a bold step to pursue sustainable business ventures in the remote Himalayan regions, fuelled by the unwavering support and enthusiasm of Shivranjani Singh, partner at Green Life. Fortuitously, he found himself in a charming 200-year-old cottage nestled in the hills of Landour Cantt, near Mussoorie. It was here, amidst the enchanting beauty of the Himalayan foothills in Uttarakhand, that the roots of Green Life began to take hold.
Shivranjani has been leading healing courses and yoga classes in various countries, including the USA, Canada, Lithuania, and London, dedicated to sharing and promoting the principles of ancient Indian healing and yoga practices worldwide. Throughout this journey, Shivranjani had consistently contributed insightful feedback and invaluable input as a loyal customer and enthusiastic supporter of Green Life. Her partnership with Green Life felt destined, as she brought renewed passion, and infused fresh enthusiasm, high-quality standards, innovative products, team spirit, and momentum into the venture. Her extensive knowledge of Natural medicine and Ayurvedic remedies has added a remarkable level of authenticity and detail to every product promoted by Green Life.

In the next couple of years,

Green Life launched its first website primarily for friends and family, allowing a select group of known, regular customers to conveniently order Pahadi treasures from home. Coincidentally, this launch coincided with the Covid pandemic, a time when interest in healthy eating habits intensified, and support for local businesses flourished. The team teamed up with the Uttarakhand Organic Board to establish direct connections between local farmers and customers across India. Green Life emerged as a vital link, bringing the natural richness of Uttarakhand to customers through the website. Amidst the chaos and uncertainty, Green Life discovered its true purpose. This initiative rapidly transformed into a significant enterprise, becoming a registered company based in Landour, complete with GST, FSSAI, IEC, and MSME certifications, as well as a Copyright Trademark.
Throughout its decade-long journey, Green Life has been dedicated to promoting local, natural, handmade, and organic products through retail outlets and online platforms. The company also organises meaningful events and exhibitions, like the Landour Mela, held in our hill-town every year for the last 10 years. Started with a dozen products, now a diverse range of over 400 offerings, including groceries, beverages, body care items, clothing, and accessories, Green Life brings the goodness of the Himalayas directly to customers’ doorsteps across India.

The story of Green Life is a testament to the power of passion, perseverance, and the beauty of coexisting with nature. Through their efforts, Vivek and Shivranjani, along with their locally employed team, continue to uplift Pahadi communities, preserve traditional village practices, and protect the breathtaking Himalayan landscape for future generations. Green Life is not merely a business; it embodies a sense of purpose, viewing itself as an ally on the journey toward a healthier, happier, and more natural lifestyle.
